Does anybody know where I can find all the technical info for the Sierra Cosworth T5 'box?

I need information on;
Type of clutch mechanism
Type of propshaft used and what joints are used on it
Type of rear axle and it's methods of shaft support.

Struggling to find much info on these things so would appreciate anything. Thanks in advance!

Ask over on PassionFord

But it uses the same ancient old clutch mech as any rwd car. cable/fork

It uses a steel propshaft with slip yoke with UJ's same as any shaft.
Rear axle is same as any Sierra, basic IRS design.

Although the rear axle has nothing to do with the box ? And pics or images etc would be an absolute doddle to find. Probably easier than finding this forum ?

Cheers.

It's for a college assignment hence all the details. I've got a load of manuals etc so diagrams are ok now. Will look in to all you've mentioned.

Is it the T5 in the Sierra application, or something like a TVR application? Because they differ in the clutch area, though the props are largely the same, except in length of course smile

Roger,

You may wish to take a look at this beauty if you're considering going the hydraulic route with your T5:

I'm fitting a T5 with one to one of my cars.
