What tyres should I stick on my 993?

It's got Continentals sports contacts all round and the fronts need changing.

Should I stick with Contys or try something else? (The rears have another few thou on em yet so I didn't want to change the lot!)

Don't mix makes, or N ratings -best stay with Contis until all four need replacing.

.........ah!....................I've just ordered two Goodyear Eagle F1's for the fronts with the intention of sticking a pair on the back in a cuppla months.

Is this really bad?

I have 18" turbo wheels and the goodyear website says I should be running 285/30/18 whereas I'm running 265/35/18.

Dya know if it'll be a problem sticking 285's on?
I know one of the reasons is coz of the wheel arches but don't C2S's have wider than the standard C2's?

Can make for some strange handling, but u won't know until u've tried it....

My 993 c4s has 18" 285 30s at the back and I think this is standard.

Are they 10" alloys at the back on your car?

I know a good tyre depot in Wakefield.

Will have the craic about it on Sunday at Cars in the Park at Bolton Abbey.

Hope it doesn't rain or a sowester may be in order!!
