964 engine rebuilt
Discussion
I'd recommend talking to Colin or Steve at Ninemeister, they have a great reputation and can do either a top end or full engine rebuild.
For a 964 ( they are doing mine as we speak) you are looking at approx £4k for a top end, inc parts, £5.5 for a full rebuild.
If your cams are worn and need replacing they retail at approx £500 each ( you need 2) or they can often supply a s/h pair. On earlier 964's if the wear is heavy you may need new Barrels and Pistons ( which are not cheap...£2.5k).
Best bet is to get it down to someone in the know, ask them to do a leak test, and they can quickly advise on the condition of your engine. This diagnosis part is not expensive and will make sure you are not undertaking unnecessary work.
You can see pictures on my rebuild underway at the following site www.porschepassion.com, select the page for 964 and then the "my car" link.
If you need any additional info, feel free to ask.

You can't say that in the same breath!!
GT1 at Chertsey (01932 569911) rebuilt mine last year after no. 5 bearing failed on track. No probs and oil tight. They also found another 24bhp by simply rebuilding it.....
Mention my name.
