Thank you thank you thank you to the Trofeo Vodafone Maseratistes who provided the opening race at Silverstone today. Apart from the incident which ended the race (thankfully damage to metal only) it was an entertaining show of these super cars. Racing (sort of) within the rules produced 11 laps of delight. But why are most of the cars the same colour??? Just a shame that no pre-publicity (that I could find) warned me that it was on otherwise I would have worn full regalia.
Oh yes, there was a Formula One race, blah blah, Schuey won, blah blah.
As ever, the Tipo 61 Birdcage in the Historic Sportscar Challenge (the final race) was glorious.

Seconded. The Masers were an unexpected treat. VBH looked liked she enjoyed the win..

Yse... The masers were a joy too watch and hear..loved the noise on the over-run. Spoke to VBH at the end. I was surpried to see that Joe Macari had a car in that series, there car came 2nd in he end..
