Looks like i'm off to work abroad on-and-off over the next 12-15 months. I'll be out 2-3 months at a time and then back for a month. So my 964 could find itself sitting in the garage for long periods.

Told my local servicing chappie about this and he was a little concerned that bits could seize up and cause a few problems.
He's also "kindly offered" to take it it out for a spin once in a while to keep things ticking over
(Actually he seems trustworthy enough)

Any suggestions? Anyone got any experience of using any of the storage companies around?

AutoVault (near Stansted airport) are very professional and only charge around 15/week for ambient air storage. They can also arrange to start the car, etc. Depends where you are based really.

Around Milton Keynes, Storacar have a very good reputation. There are also several companies to the south of London, just outside the M25.

Iguana is local and will 'store' it for you, and periodically (on the hour, every hour) check that the engine still revolves around to 8000 rpm, should you wish. He is also good at removing that nasty looking tread pattern from your tyres, saving you the bother. Very good service in my opinion.

Sounds perfect!

If I ask nicely he could smooth off that rough finish on the clutch too.
