At the end of the year there will be a race for BTCC champions. Hopefully it will be another chance to see the greatest BTCC champion of modern times. The great JC! John Cleland! It will be pay back time for the 1992 championship won by an undeserving Harvey in a disgraceful manor. Who still has the video?

It was 50/50 James.

Anyway, Soper just returned all the crap he'd been handed throughout the year by various Vauxhall drivers - including earlier in that very race when he was taken out by Leslie. If Cleland had any sense at all he'd have known that the last person you want to upset in a racecar was Steve Soper.

I though it was brilliant. A photographer I know was at Luffield and his story about Cleland trying to drag Soper out of his car afterwards (not seen on TV) was very amusing - Soper just sat there, wisely keeping his helmet on, staring straight ahead...

In the original list two names were not mentioned. As far as I know both of them are still racing. Andy Rouse and Chris Hodgetts. You cannot have a BTCC masters without the greatist ever. I would also like to see Sir John Whitmore and Warwick Banks. Mansell was never a BTCC master, and nor was Jamie Campbell-Walter! So put JCW in there as well.

Yes, but at least Mansell has raced in BTCC, which JC-W hasn't (though I might be wrong, of course).

He never raced touring cars or anything front wheel drive! However he is a sportscar champion and it would just add interest.
