Launch of 997 Last Friday

Last Friday the launch of the new 997 took place here in Germany. Looks very nice close up. The interior is also very nice and good quality. The door trims/layout do remind me of my 993tt and even the window switches have been moved to the doors just like the 993. I like the new round headlamps together with the alloys that were on the Carrera S that I looked at. They have a few cars here in Black, Silver and a metallic Grey. A bit wider at the back than the 996 makes it look a bit shorter. Gear lever is round just like.....993.

Looks very nice in my opinion.

I will definitely test drive one when they land in the UK.
I think they look best in siver or grey. I haven't seen any pics of black ones. Yellow doesn't look right I reckon.
I quite like the interior but I'm not sure about either steering wheel they are offering.

Saw them going around the 'ring pre-launch on a manufacturer test day. Go for the S - that looked and sounded very healthy in action.
