Its a 2004 1.9 tdi just like a buzzing bearing noise under load only in top noise goes when you lift of or coast just wondering if there is a simple common fault and fix???

It's the rear mainshaft support bearing. It's a common thing but requires a complete trans strip down to replace it.

Yup. It's the only way to strip the trans. Although the bearing pair is under the rear cover the bolts holding their carrier in are the other side of the case.
