Got to say - wow!..

..but also thinking.. why? Unless its an advert / promo vehicle for a business. I'd just be happy with it in Audi form.

Apparently, the R8 was written off.

Have we had the supposed R8 based fake Veyron yet?

To be honest it's very well done and takes some looking to notice it isn't the real one....but I just think why?
Probably spent a lot of money just to fake it and get some looks when an Audi R8 would've probably got the looks in the first place.

Sometimes I think it's just for the challenge...

As you say, an R8 would probably snap just as much knicker elastic if that was the objective, for anyone who knows their cars it's obviously not a real one.

R8 looks better to my eyes. I've only seen one Veyron in the flesh and didn't tickle my fancy. Each to their own though I guess?

I'm the total opposite, I find r8's a little meh, and have been completely mesmerised by a Veyron before smile

The thing is, if I saw it on the road it would never cross my mind that it was a converted R8, unless I really noticed the wheels, and I’d probably assume it was a Bugatti. That’s the thing about replicas....if you see a Ferrari 250GTO or a Jaguar XKSS or a GT40 on the road most petrol heads would immediately assume it was fake even though they maybe exact tool room copies because no idiot would drive a £1,000,000+++ classic on the road!

The Mr2 Ferrari’s and most Cobras on the other hand!

Quite a few people do drive £1m+ classic cars on the road

I know of 1 chap with Donald Campbell's old AC that gets driven a lot and on track
I regularly see F40's going in and out of Rardleys in Grayshott, one recent one was driven quite hard when I followed it
I was at a hotel not long ago and the son of Bramleys turned up in a 250gt SWB
Flemke drives his Mac F1 and I used to see the orange long tail at track days quite often.

These are just a few that I can think of.

I agree and yes, I have seen some amazingly expensive cars on the road including a 250 GTO. What I was suggesting is that ‘a lot’ of the time, when you see a car like the ones mentioned there is a good chance they aint real!

Having seen that Veyron rep in real life i can confirm its hideous!

Its also not an R8, I think its got a 4.2 V8 from an A6 and the matching slush box. It was listed at £225,000 recently...

TBH there are soooo many decently/madly modded cars as well as photoshops I really don't know which is which - my apologies
