Seriously loooking for an 01/02 auto 3200....in your experiences how much can Maranello etc be pursuaded down on sticker prices with a cash deal/no px?

Their starting prices seem silly, but I guess you get a decent warranty?

Incidentally if anyone is thinking of selling a later 3200auto with low mileage in a light colour please let me know!

With a name like that, I assume you have a 300ZX (excellent choice, by the way ) - so why are you looking to trade down

Only joking, 3200/4200's are gorgeous cars.

Can't give much advice, but I'm sure any salesman worth his salt will at least be prepared to make a deal.

I have had a late "N" reg '96 ZX manual for nearly 6 years and although it has been a fantastic car it is time for a change...ZERO faults in 6 years, not even a brake light bulb...I don't expect a Maserati to quite rival that..........

I used to own a 300ZXTT and (via another couple of cars along the way) am in a 3200 now. The two cars and quite alike in character really. I loved the Nissan and like you say, it never missed a beat. But the Maser is another level again IMHO.

Anyway, to answer your original question, in my experience of buying from a main dealer (Meridien Modena) there is definitely flexibility on the sticker price. Personally I would want I car with warranty cover so if buying privately I would want some warranty left on it. I experienced a bit of an electronic gremlin on mine that ended up in half the electronics and loom getting swapped out. All covered under warranty in the end. I wouldn't want to be paying £95 per hour for the amount of time they spent working on it!

Good luck with the hunt!

Chris
