Having just spent 1000s on my engine, i'm thinking of selling up. The problem is i reckon the second hand value ot the various bits totals about £4000 yet i'm not sure if the car as a whole is worth anywhere near that much. Say a complete SD roll cage in good nick is worth £200, a freshly built sccr box £500, s discs, shafts and 4 pots £300. The 1380 block complete with wedged crank, ul flywheel, head, etc etc has to be worth £1500?? This isnt intended to be an ad, just interested to know peoples opinions and if the above sounds reasonable. The car itself thought isnt that tidy, mechanically its sound and almost everthing has been renewed or modified and it has a long mot, but the A panels are rusty, theres no interior or dash. If it had a really good paint job then £4000 might be realistic. So should i try and sell it in bits?

Breaking it will almost certaintly nett a higher price.

This is how Mega make a very tidy profit indeed...
