Help, proper mapper required!

Can anyone help me please?
My Alfa has recently undergone some serious engine tuning but basically I've hit a "brick wall" in that I need someone to map the car and can't find the right person.
I know plenty of "mappers" who can rewrite ECUs but I need someone who actually understands what they are doing as well as how to do it as this is not a simple live mapping job, the Bosch ME7.3.1 is a difficult ECU to work with and the car has already spent far too many wasted hours on a dyno. A standalone is also not an option as the car has a CANBUS setup.
I am prepared to travel from London to anywhere in the country if it means going to someone who actually has the intelligence to do the mapping but before anyone suggests them, Alfatune and AHM are not an option.

I can only make suggestions for you to speak to, I'm not sure if they work with that specific product, although I'm sure they have.

of course the other thing to consider, if the car is as extensively modified as you suggest, perhaps it is time to look into another solution instead of the factory ecu ?

Just out of curiosity, and not being confrontational, can you elaborate on this point? Virtually all modern cars use can bus to communicate between systems, I'm not sure why this would prevent a stand alone ECU.Stealth Racing in Warwickshire have a lot of experience with ME7. They're VW/Audi specialists but it's worth asking as they've worked on other marques.
As your car uses this ECU, I'm guessing it's fly by wire? That would be reason alone for avoiding standalones imo. Motec perhaps, but I've used DTA's DBW box and it's not that brilliant. Nothing comes close to ME7 for lambda and idle control, so think carefully about what refinements you are prepared to compromise on.
As above, why do you need CANBUS? Modern cars use that mainly for steering angle, yaw, traction, ABS, etc etc for "torque demand" mapping. You won't need any of that with a standalone, but most do have CAN these days.
As your car uses this ECU, I'm guessing it's fly by wire? That would be reason alone for avoiding standalones imo. Motec perhaps, but I've used DTA's DBW box and it's not that brilliant. Nothing comes close to ME7 for lambda and idle control, so think carefully about what refinements you are prepared to compromise on.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but as it's an Alfa, I've yet to find a standalone that offers a "plug and play" solution let alone one that allows you to keep the alarm, rev counter, speedo, ABS etc. basically as mentioned above far too much of a compromise especially when the ECU is actually very good, it just doesn't allow live mapping and requires someone who really knows what they're doing to map it.SuperchargedVR6 said:

Whilst Ive never used them myself, yours is the first negative report Ive ever heard when it comes to MSDThey always come highly recommended in Cossie circles, and they do tuning work on a huge range of cars, and are more into OEM ecu work than most.
