Glamour and Birmingham in the same sentence doesn't seem quite right.

Besides with all the canal boats, there isn't room for any yachts.

I was there for one of the years, my friend was racing a Unipower GT - recall taking loads of pics, in case these could be of interest to anyone. Somewhere up in the attic I reckon.

I stood on the Belgrave Middleway on watched them going the wrong way past the Mosque. It was very loud. I thought the Fiesta Supporting Race more exciting.

The yachts ? Not been to the canal basin then ?

Anyway, most nights you can race in birmingham. All you need is a stolen car and some Acid to help you drive better.

I went twice in 1989/90. was a guest of compaq so saw the race from the offices above bristol street motors (which acted as the pits -IIRC). The f3000's were impressive but the best racing was the touring cars, but the highlight was meeting Tony Pond who was doing the 6r4 race - wicked!

Not got any photos but can remember seeing the Tuscans on the TV. Seem to recall Chris Hodgetts won a race and planted his Tuscan in the armco after some OTT celibrating after the chequred flag.
