'53 Focus TDCi, no 1st, 3rd, 5th gear

Any ideas? I can get 2nd and 4th and revers. Happened as I changed down to third and there was nothing there. Linkage seems ok under the cover in the center console so I'm guessing it's at the gearbox end.

Sound like a cables either broken or come adrift they attach under where the airbox sits on the top of the gearbox

White locking ring had come away from the threaded black part. Twisted it together and it seems to be holding but there's a round wire spring that goes inside the white ring, I guess to stop it rotating off as it has done but I can't figure out to clip it in - any ideas? bit tight in there without taking the mount off.

At least I know why my reversing light hasn't worked - wasn't plugged in !

The spring is part of the retaining device which is broken a couple of well positioned cable ties are well up to the job though

Cheers for the replies. Managed to get the spring in, all seems good apart from it cranked over, started and then died. Not having a good day.

Sorted! I'd just trapped the breather pipe.

Cleaned, polished, vac'd, ready for trade in. Won't miss this one..
