BAR's F1 car front

Watching the F1 qualifying today, I heard Martin B say something about the front of the BAR cars having something that would probably be banned for the next season, what was it? I wasn't really paying attention at the time.

well i'm guessing it was the front torque transfer system that BAR use but i wasn't watching so its just a guess!

It was the 'front torque transfer system' that Brundle was refering to but im not sure what it is/does

It equalises the torque across the front wheels during braking, to avoid locking 1 wheel.

What torque? the front wheels are not driven so how can there be any torque? Or are they driven

They are driven by the road - if there wasn't any torque, they wouldn't go round!
