My kids want to buy me a roll cab for my birthday but can't decide which one, I've looked at Sealey, Halford Pro, and a few on eBay, not sure what I'm looking for as ones I've seen in Halfords vary greatly in the way the drawers slide.
I'm looking for around nine drawers with a couple of deep ones for air tools etc, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
I've also been to my local garage to ask if the SnapOn man has any secondhand boxes for sale, because as the 'Show us your toolbox' thread says you can't have too many tool boxes!

Cheers
Graham

for value the halfords industrial boxes are hard to beat(black ones). i treated myself to the top and bottom box for christmas when they were both on a special deal. They have ample storage and are deeper than most available, they are currently on £399 for the two which is a bargain.

you may struggle if you have the two, they are quite big boxes and heavy too.

They wouldn't fit into a Focus so a mate helped me with his van thankfully.
The twist in this tale is that 24hrs after I paid £399 for the web exclusive deal that ended Thursday, I received an email from Halfords with their latest deals and the Industrial Tool chest and cab are now £299 web exclusive deal ending next Wednesday! I made a call to Halfords customer service telling them that I have potentially lost £100 within 24hrs and credit to them they said that they would price match the deal and give me the difference back.
Result.

There should be two two slots and four holes in the side of the roll cab, the handle has four threaded holes, the tabs of the handle goes through these slots so that the threaded holes are behind the skin of the roll cab and you can then screw through these holes into the threaded handle.
Hope that makes sense!

thanks for that, i feel like a right numpty now! I assumed the screws had to go through into the roll cab, didnt notice the handle was threaded.
