This is becoming as tedious as a soap opera...

The BRDC is mooting a non-Championship F1 race.

Surely the teams wouldn't do it or they would make a mockery of their "we're as poor as a church mouse, that's just had an enormous tax bill on the very day his wife ran off with another mouse, taking all the cheese."

PS. Oh and Bernie is suing Jackie Stewart for libel after what he said in a BBC interview.

But you can't really libel someone when they tell the truth about the evil money grabbing hobbit.

I believe Truth has little to do with libelling, it is all to do with harm to someone's reputation. One of our legal comrades will clarify I'm sure.

Guess that frees up my Sundays .. won't be watching GP's now.

Bye bye Bernie - evil dwarf.

It's was getting boring anyway.

Really liked someones idea of the 'old' style tracks
getting together and having a rival series.

How about : '

Silverstone
Spa
Monza
Le Mans
Magy Cours

and add : USA : Laguna Seca

Any others that you would add ?

A defence to libel is to prove your comments are the truth.

Magny Cours - no way - that's just another modern bore-a-drome. How about Paul Ricard or Dijon? I'd love to see Brands back at the top flight of car racing too.

And NO nodifications allowed to the circuit either. If the cars are too fast for the track - SLOW THE CARS DOWN.

Surely it would be slander, not libel, as the comments were verbal, not written...

That's the problem, Sir Jackie shouldn't have commissioned the painting to go along with the comment.

I knew about Paul Ricard & I'm sure that has a lot to do with Magny Cours being chucked off the list but I didn't realise he'd bought up bits of Spa as well ...... really ? ......... which bits ?

What track was it that Sepang replaced in Malaysia, the gp bikes went there quite a bit, always good racing there.

Shah Alam 91-98, then once at Johor in 1999 before moving to Sepang

So much sponsorship originates in the UK & so much technical expertise is here, you can't believe the teams & manufacturers would just let this happen.

I realise there are new markets for Ron, Frank, David & co to go after East etc, but surely it's far easier to look after & nuture the existing connections etc, than go off in hunt of brand new money.

The UK is the centre of motorsport excellence & yet one man can do this.

The sooner a rival series appears, which gives more power, income etc to the teams etc, the better. The teams will hopefully listen to the sponsors, who hopefully will recognise their customers' needs. BE appears to do nothing but dictate to others for personal gain.
