Hello everyone,
Due to a change in job, I need a small engined car for work (we're going to use to build up the wifes NCB)just for a 20/25 minute back lane commute.

So, does a 1100cc mini (1098??) qualify for reduced road tax?

Also does any one know of any good sources where I might find, preferably, a restored mini for sale around Staffordshire?

Thanks
Colin..........

Yep, sure does. Anything under 1300cc.

Actually anything under 1500cc does, which is how my nice subtle, economic, fuel efficient and environmentally friendly 1380 mini gets a years tax for £96.

we bought a cheap'ish one at a grand, as a starter car for son when he passes test,
but as he shows little enthusiasm to pass just yet, I use mini for work too.
all of ten quid a week petrol, and fourteen quid a month insurance, and that tax...

Yeah, you're right, I'm wrong (again !!) But it's only £14 at the end of the day, and I was still feeling optimistic that early in the day !!
