Multitool (Dremel-ish) bits.......?

Over the last few months I have been slowly tackling some chassis work, mostly I have been using a grinder but for some of the smaller more awkward jobs I have used an old dremel (which I then burnt out) and replaced it with a Ryobi.
The tools themselves seem like handy bits of kit but the important bits (the bits or accessories) seem to range from useful but quick wearing and expensive to cheap, useless and pointless.
I seem to be stuck with dremel bits as I cant find replacement Ryobi bits?! Mostly I have used the expensive metal grinding discs but have found the ezi click ends lose there spring and are a bit rubbish. Are there any alternatives out there or am I using a silly toy to try and do a Man's job?

ETA: Hmmm, nothing on their web page but the store poster definitely had them, £29.99. Maybe it's a future deal... incidentally I see they have those swivel ratchet spanners at £13 a set, which is odd because on Sunday they were stacked high at £6.50 a pack!
