The price comes form the light weight material they use to build it.

They aimed for a 1000kg's and I think it is just over that by 40-80kg's or so. This might be TVR's 1040kg's of course which means you can add a couple of 100 onto it. Mind you if it isn't that light then a Red Rose Cerbera should be able to see it off.

Read it last night in fact and thought it was a good write up.

Its a shame that the car is a little way off from being the complete article biut the comments are very encouraging.

Wihtout the full 440 spec engine, 6 speed sequential and final suspension set up there is no real comparison onjectively.

But the comments made were very good "As good as a 911 for finding traction out of tight bends" etc etc

His comments regarding the build quality are those that you would expect of a prototype car such as rattly windows and thin door skins etc.

What I found particualry interesting is that PW hasn't driven it himself yet ??

I did like the final paragraph/story/conclusion when he blew away the 355

EVO reckoned the weight was 1060kg.

The other point I menat to say was the interesting 'chassis pyramid' in the engine bay. Seems such a simple idea but has brought about a massive improvement in chassis rigidity with the additional Alloy cross beam along the dash to connect the chassis and rollcage to use both components to work with each other the create this rigidity.

Typical TVR - looks really Heath Robinson - simple and very effective by all accounts.

440 bhp rather than the 360-380bhp the car in the test currently has.

Apparently there is a lot of work to be done on the exhaust system to allow reduction in back pressure as this is key to releasing more horses from the S6.

Not sure if you know but the brochure states a 4.0l engine with 440hp and max torque of 350 ft.lbs!

And yes, optional 20 inch wheels!

'EVO reckoned the weight was 1060kg.'

Every TVR seems to weigh 1060kg!
