If only I had £85k to spend on a car... That is savage depreciation, if they keep falling at that rate I'll be able to get one in a couple of years time.

Auction is always going to be cheap and risky. With my experiences of Ferrari costs, I'd never buy a Ferrari from auction as you have little time to inspect throughly beforehand.Ade

So.. if you have a Ferrari out of warranty that's starting to go badly wrong.. and no dealer will touch it.. just remember you can shift it at an auction !

One year's warranty left so if it is UK supplied, serviced on time and passes an HPI then what's the problem?

Makes the £70k retail for four year old 550's a joke.

Why would anyone EVER seriously consider purchasing a NEW 12 cylinder Ferrari ???. What a residual nightmare. £170K new, 6-9 months on with 1-2000 miles at £ 105K!!!
Great value now however, sub £100k 575 looks a real tempter. Blows the older 550 option down the pan.

you could always give the tax man 40% of 157,000.00 i think i'd go for the 575 and claim some VAT back too
