..and the GBP is mightier than the $ - at the moment anyway.

Been in L.A for the past week looking at some property. More important than somewhere to live is something to drive, surely!

Anyway, had a browse at Ferrari of Beverly Hills and with the conversion there must be bargins to be had. Not only at the exotic end of the market mind.

A 2003 Evo can be had for GBP13k which seems pretty good. 95 355 spider with 10k on the clock for GBP40k.

What would you go for as a garage filler.

Is the USA a viable import source for 'raris, I'm not knocking it BTW, I just don't know how many hoops you have to jump through to get a car here.

That 360 CS on the inventory looks good.
$225k is about £115-120k if my maths is anything decent!
There's a very very similar car in JCT for £127995
Its a good saving but wouldn't that be cancelled out by import costs etc??

Unless I have misunderstood you, I am not planning on bringing a car to the UK. It will be for L.A.

www.prestigeimports.com

These guys are in Miami. The mechanic there seems like a decent enough bloke. The sales guys are VERY, VERY......hammy.

The son of the owner has it sweet as I have seen him out and about in just about everything they have there. Still in school to which has got to be sweet.

Try that and the following normally have a few Lambos/Fezzas and what not. Offered me a $50k discount on a special edition 550 last time I was there when I was trying to get a test drive of the Gallardo. They seem to prefer to move their stock quickly rather than be arsey about things like some of our beloved dealers. www.bramanmiami.com/

Mate, it is 8am and the sun is already blazing away. The old Kensington accent is working an absolute charm too with the local totty (allegedly).

Anyway, with the autotrader you need to put in a postcode/ZIP code when searching. For California put in 90210, for New York put 10001 and for Miami put in 33139. The you can choose the distance you'd like to search just like the UK autotrader.

Have fun. Ohh, they also have a classics trader but I can't remember the site. Will post when I do.

Well go and buy a camera then!

Surely you steward/stewardesses get some discount in the airports?

Making a big assumption here since you never seem to be in one place long enough to actually do any work!

Don't be silly Dusty - he's a maraner (as in sailor).

2nd Mate on a rusty old tramp steamer - hence the frequency of "mate" in his posts (keeps asking the 1st Mate which way to steer the thing).

Reputed to smuggle dubious Ferraris up the Thames from far-away places.

Happy Christmas MARA, wherever you've run aground!
