I remember the EVO article and now it's all coming together!

He seems like a very, very nice gent indeed. Didn't realised they showed 5th Gear on the Speed channel I just flicked over by chance too.

Oh good lord. I want the black Enzo test car they showed! Looks amazing. Looked liked Frank was well chuffed and the phone call to his mum was a classic "no, it was Schumacher's car but now it's mine".

So, he has got some SERIOUS machinery then from what I've put together. Bloody good on him.

Yeah...

Petrolhead + mega bank balance = Frank Mountain's garage

Thoroughly enjoyed that episode. Frank was very informative to listen to as well, he obviously thinks deeply about his car purchases, it didn't come across as 'i've got millions... lets buy an F1 car', more of a lifetime dream come true.

Top man. Top cars.

FYI... he's got an MC12 on its way and was the owner of the Enzo that got crashed recently in the UK.

Yep. A very fortunate man indeed. I had no idea that scruffy Ford bloke from Evo was on 5th Gear. If they'd only get rid of that annoying woman and have the balls to go all the way and put on something a bit more pleasing to the eye. Can't see it happening because I am sure she just be accused of being there on looks. Bah, these "not attractive enough to be warrant being called attractive and not ugly enough to warrant being called ugly" birds do my head in.

I also wish everyone would stop trying to sound like Jezza Clarkson when reviewing the motor too. The trademark pause and then his voice gets gruff and he emphasizes the last word.

With you all the way there mate on all counts.

Yes, Frank Mountain comes across as being a deep thinker, compassionate, enthusiastic and a nice guy - but he's a property developer by trade - a profession which generally exhibits totally the opposite traits to those he seems to display (with apologies to POORCARDEALER)

I know the man personally and he is a very nice chap indeed (always pops down to the marina in his new toys to take me for a spin).

The MC12 in now on his driveway but he can't drive it due to a minor 90-in-a-40 issue.

His main business appears to be commerical property financing which seems to be quite lucrative.

He's very approachable if you see him at any races etc... and a complete enthusiast to boot.

I would love to see him do the gumball and give lonman a run for his money... but then again with racing his F1 car in the Hugo Boss series and racing an MC12 in the Le Mans GT series and playing with his yacht, I doubt he'll have the time!

Ayjay - I could be brong, but I don't think that the EuroBOSS series has anything to do with Hugo Boss - always assuming that this series for later F1 cars, run by Klass Zwart and won by Scott Mansell last year is the one that you are referring to!

Commerical property financing - takes a lot of cash to be in that business - you're up against the big boys - proporty financing arms of major banks for example....

What yacht does he play with - if he's into property financing he won't bother with a Sunseeker

MC12 in the driveway and no license! I feel sick. It's like a new PS2 game without a control pad! Well, almost.

Lots of folk posting on here know all about MHT, now back in independent hands and trading as Bob Houghton Ltd. I seem to remember FM's ex-Schuey F1 car was there for some time, maybe still is don't know for sure, together with several other treasures. Been there when they've had a couple or three 250 GTOs, F40s and F50s at the same time, I suspect some were Frank's apart from various Nick Mason specials. Bob Houghton is a veritable treasure trove and I'm glad to be just a few miles down the road from Northleach. Have to agree also that it was a very enjoyable programme.
