The problem i have with Ferrari drive outs is that unlike other marques, ferrari owners think they are doing the general public a favaur by cruising in packs.
I have experienced this in my 6 years of ferrari ownership, am i wrong? and why?

I went on a run a few weeks before Christmas. It was a mix of Ferrari's and Lotus's.

The standard of driving of some of the Ferraris was absolutely apalling. They were driving on the wrong side of the road on blind crests and bends and just expecting other cars to get out of their way. One car coming the other way had to drive onto the grass verge because some knob in a 360 left himself with nowhere to go. Amazed no one was involved in a crash.

Not saying all the runs are like this but there are some people who seem to thing that because they drive a Ferrari they own the road.

Anyway hopr the London run was good

Never happened!

It was a last minute affair, trying to organise it on a forum. At 11pm last night only two people had said 'yeah i'm up for it' for definite so nothing happened.

I'm yet to go on a mass hoon so can't comment on the above post.

Don't know really, have been out en masse with ferrari driveouts (in a Murci!) and with TVR and Lotus groups and they seem to draw a different response. Perhaps the ferrari group is seen as more of a set of poseurs by the general public, not sure though!

Why would you call me a troll? Whats the deal? I am not the only one who has this view, i made the point and then asked if people thought i was right or wrong. Dont just shoot me down calling me a troll, becourse you have got that wrong my friend.
I have seen ferrari owners act like fools on the road by wheel spinning, speeding and doing daft overtaking, all the very same things that they say the ricers do and they slag them of for doing, but becourse they are in a ferrari thats ok is it?

Next to the Fezza's yes!

The problems of bad driving on runs are not model specific. I know people who have been on Elise runs where people have been racing and driving like complete idiots. Whenever you get a few people in sports cars (irrespective of make or price)out together there will often be some people who get a bit too competitive.

A drive out through a crowded town remains THE saddest pastime known to man to date. Why would anyone EVER want to drive in convoy through cities and villages for any other reason than to shout 'hey look at me'. Having read many posts relating to this group self gratification, I can only assume that the attendees need to stand a little closer to the porcelain than most.

Don't worry , it was called off. Of course, when Lotus , Maser,Lambo and TVR owners go out for a drive , the size of their manhood is never called into question

That was my point when i said " doing the public a favour". I think its sad as well, what gets my goat is when ferraris do it its ok but then ferrari drivers will slag of anyone else who do it as boy racers.
