I brought my Lotus from there,

The people who own it have been restoring Lotus for many years, whilst the M.D has a private collection of delivery milage Lotus, Elan Elise 111s Esprit 2002, Seven Elan +2 ect ect , they seem a really good set up,

They also have a Performance shop on site selling all performance goodies.

There number if anyone is interested is (01604)403040

What the heck is the point of keeping a car on delivery mileage? Three unused Loti is shocking.

they need to advertise as I live in northampton with an elise and had never heard of them until I saw a car for sale on autotrader! They should at least get on the official lotus site!

Porsche dealer and now lotus - northampton's going up in the world!! Somewhere else for me to drool on a sunday morning!

The dealerships are probably sponsored by the local authority's speed camera scheme.

I went in there yesterday to get a window issue fixed on my Type 25 Elise - they were great and it sure beats going all the way to Storm for servicing.

I went to Storm to test drive a 111S a few years ago and was treated with total contempt.
OK I was "only" 27 (what a crime) but was a strategy consultant and could easily afford the car...
(Customer service at TMS in Melton when i went to test a Griffith a day later was out of this world)

All these guys have to do is publicise themselves and offer half decent customer service and they'll nuke Storm.
And good riddance!
Now that I'm considering a S2 Elise there's no way I'd go to Storm even though they're convenient to get to.

OK. rant over.
anyone at Storm ever heard of the concept "moments of truth"?

How spooky. Had exactly the same experience with Storm. They are an absolute bunch of arrogant w4nkers. In fact if they got any further up their own backsides they'd all be inverted.

I've just been to new Northampton dealer this afternoon and they were absolutely excellent. They're family run which I think is probably an advantage. I had a long chat with the MD who seems to be a true enthusiast and his (rather cute) daughter took me out for a test drive . They appear to actually want to sell cars and were happy to spend time with potential punters. If I decide to opt for a Lotus when I change my car they will definitely get my business. (And Storm can go to hell )

having just called into orchards I'd like to echo thoughts here in that they were v friendly and helpful - is this a start of a new revolution of lotus dealers!!!! or will they be struck off for not toeing the line of making the customer suffer as much as possible!!

well done chaps

good to hear -it wasn't just a one-off experience then.
What surprises me is that Leicester isn't the most affluent city around, so you would think that Storm would have to work pretty hard for sales - a bit of competition may do them good.
... or kill them off!
