Heidfeld to get a Brazilian !

Having successfully beaten Antonio Pizzonia to the second Williams seat, Nick Heidfeld has confirmed that the team now plans to rebrand him as a Brazilian before the start of the season. Although BMW are pleased to have got their man in the second seat, it appears that the teams South American sponsors, most notably Petrobas, are upset at not getting ‘Jungle Boy’ as Mark Webbers partner. Furthermore, even BMW admits Germans can appear a bit dull and to have a spicy latino type in the team can only be a good thing. PR advisors to Williams have hit on the idea of selling Nickas a Brazilian, thus keeping all sides happy. Said Williams chief Patrick Head: ‘Listen, if Chevrolet reckon they can fool people by sticking a badge on a Daewoo and telling them it’s a Chevy then we can easily pull this one off’, he added ‘Nick never says a word to anybody anyway, so the accent isn’t an issue and regular sunbed sessions and hair-dye should sort out the rest’ Pizzonia meanwhile was unavailabe for comment but was reported by our source to be ‘more than a little bit miffed’ by todays developements.
