JENSEN Motorsport team is to confirm
it’s 2005 GT Porsche driver line-up soon!

The Southampton based team has said today that it is close to confirming its driver line for 2005 very soon. The team which announced plans to run in both GT cup and GT2 alongside it’s TOCA BMW championship effort added to it’s GT line up statement that it has canceled it’s BMW plans ahead of the 2005 British GT championship. Team Manager Mike Lunn comments “We have made the decision to focus firmly on GT’s, the BMW championship looked good but with BMW teams desperate for drivers the deals being offered were too cheap, we maintained that if we couldn’t secure the budget to run a winning effort properly we would not pursue it”. The teams 4 cars have been shipped to a customer in the USA who intents to run them there.

The teams GT project has taken on a strong direction now with the confirmation that the team will run with Porsche this season. Team principal Jensen Lunn Adds “We had an option on Ferrari and indeed had the 360 car at our workshop for a while, but it has always been my preference to run with Porsche, we have plans for both GT3 and GT2 with Porsche. We are very excited about this and we will look to confirm our driver line up soon”. The team is in talks with drivers to complete the seats for 05 with some well-known drivers in the frame for the drives. Engineer Darrell Watts adds “We have some very good drivers lined up one in particular is very exciting for us, we look forward to announcing the drivers soon”.
