Anyone know what breed of car the wiper arms on a Griffith are nicked from ? My passanger side one is knackerd and needs a new mechanisim and I can't believe these are TVR specific.

I think they are specific! Anyway, I bought a new one from our local main dealer, and it was only about £10.00 or so. If you have an earlier car, you probably have plastic arms like mine. The new ones are metal.

If there the same as a Chimaera, which they probably are, they are TVR specific (because of the bend I think) but I don't think they are that expensive from your local friendly TVR dealer

Do you mean the actual metal arms bolted to the spindle or the blade carriers.

Halfords sell Bosh blade carriers that can be fitted (I have them on mine) but you need to keep the plastic hinge bit that clips in the middle as the supplied one is too small for the Griff arms.

You can also get one with a spoiler thingy for the drivers side which dose help at speed.

I don’t remember how much they were, but not too bad.

If you really mean the arms then I would think these may be TVR specific.

Cheers,

Simon.

Its actually the little plastic lug that clips into the other plastic lug which is connected to the spindle etc that has broken, so it's a whole new arm. Not to worry now as on the earlier advise I phoned Walldonways and suprise suprise they've actually got one of each hand in stock so off to get them tomorrow, forgot to ask price but we'll see.
