Uncomfortable feeling

Just got an e-mail from a fellow rally bod who was worried about a championship that he entered and hasn't heard anything from for a while (the first event is the Malcolm Wilson this weekend), I was phoned up a week ago by one of the organisers to be told that it wasn't going to run, but obviously noone told this guy, what's worse is it sounds like he stumped up the entire entry fee (which wasn't cheap!) and so will have to chase to get a refund (at least I only stand to lose 100 quid deposit if the worst happens). Sounds like there has been some falling out between the organisers and this might result in liquidation etc

Sounds very worrying for these folk who paid up and are now out of pocket with no championship to run in.
