......errr watch this space. Does my car have a load of Janspeed components in the passenger footwell waiting to be welded up? - yes
Yes, I do, they are of equal length.

Have you got a plan of how to improve things or is your's just enourmous!!! My only concern with this route is the noise but we shall have to see.
You can see pictures on thenew exhaust on my smugmug gallery, page 3. They are strictly work in progress and were taken this afternoon, high flow cats and louder boxes. Will try to get some audio posted up asap. The cats are between flanges so that they can be "slipped out", -in and the exhaust will be road legal and out will be for track/fun.

Our IC on left, standard IC on right. Notice the thinner foils in our core which conduct heat from the charge considerably better than those present in the standard unit. Our unit also has more internal surface area than the standard unit both to increase thermal mass (as a whole rather than over the standard unit) and increase cooling capacity.
Paul - new exhaust looks very very tasty! Bore is certainly larger which should minimise any lag previously present. Looking forward to hearing it.

Edited to hopefully explain things a bit better

Shows how much I know, I thought the new one (i.e. the one that looked "better") was on the right!

Snap
The one on the right must be better, it's shinier
Maybe the photo doesn't do our IC justice? I can assure you (if its important) that our IC is a fair bit shinier than the standard one and the welds look nicer
P.S. Paul - sorry for adding to the thread hi-jack.

I'd agree, could they mean the one in his right hand? the one on the right certainly looks to have a larger suface area internally (well from the end anyway)
The IC on the left of the picture is ours (the one with cooling foil angled at 45 degrees across the core). The internal surface area of our IC is larger than that of the standard unit - don't forget theres over 10% more core length to factor in (507mm vs the 451mm of the standard unit).

Bloody hell guys, not only highjacking it again but all this piffle paffle about whether the left or the right has more internal area. Whatever its got and however shiny it is, the one on the left is the one that works. End of story.
Now can you please leave this thread for exhaust stuff only.

Well that looks like a good start. I assume that the writing on the rear side of the exhuast denotes where it's going to be cut and where the Kat is going to go. Are you going to put better heat shielding above? Also are they going to be of equal lenght? - I know I keep banaging on about this but I'm led to believe that having equal lenghts is rather important. Have you got some nice shiney bit's to go on the end of the silencers, looks like it might be quite a tight fit. Did you say they were 50 Cell Kats -oh and what about the old ones that are just after the turbo's - are you going to cut them out? - having said that does anyone know what the old ones are? 50 or 100 cell, high flow etc.
