After ADA ran the car at LM94 and in some British GT and BPR races later, the car was sold to Superpower Engineering (McDonald, of RAM F.1 fame, company), the car was raced in British GT. I remember it was later seen in the Autoitalia series for Italian cars.

Yup

Last I recall they still had the car - I remember seeing it on a website a couple of years ago

Thanks for the info, i saw it race many times in the British and BPR (the best era for international GT's for a while) IIRC it was Thorkild Thyring (i know the sp will be wrong) that pedalled it very smartly no matter the weather. always dreamed of buying it myself.

made up my mind.....the last time I saw the ADA Pantera it was on AutoItalia magazine. It was in the hands of a company called Zeist (they prepared also a Ferrari Testarossa and a GT Ferrari 360), they are now out of business (as long as 2000 they had a website...)

Didn't De Tomaso became Qvale which was bought up by MG/Rover and their final Mangusta model was the basis for the MG SV

NoNo, De Tomaso made a deal with Qvale, but the American went his own way, and then sold to MG.

De Tomaso closed down recently, some time after the death of company founder Alejandro.

Some (2-3) years ago they introduced the mock-up of the so-called Pantera 2000 and announced plans to produce an Elise-inspired small sportscar and an off-road vehicle (this one with some help of Italian government funds) but nothing more than that was seen

made a mistake...the company is called Zest Performance, and yesterday, when I bought the april issue of Classic&Sportscars, I had the confirmation that the ADA Pantera is still with them (page 33)
they have a site www.zestperformance.com, but no sign of the car there
