After years of persuading and nagging and "ooh look at thating", my missus has finally said she wouldn't mind a 360! Result.

The one we like (both, that's a first) is the 360. However, before I start investing time and money into such a venture I'm interested in other people's experiences (good and bad). I've currently got a TVR Griff - which I'll probably keep. I'm assuming a 360 is entirely different experience.

I used to have a Formula Red Griff 500. Now I have got a 360 Challenge Stradale.

My Griff was better than most, as after an unfortunate incident with a fox, had to have the front end replaced. In the end, I had it rebuilt by a TVR Tuscan race team, so it had fully rose jointed Leda suspension, Tuscan race rack etc etc. Very quick, very brutal!

The 360 and Griff are totally different animals. Build quality is obviously in a totally different league with the Ferrari. The 360 is a far better handler, but the Griff has more grunt than a standard 360 so on A roads at least, there isn't much in it - obviously the stradale is alot quicker. When I owned my Griff (about 8 years ago) it turned heads everywhere, with the noise, and being red (unusual for a griff). Obviously you get similar effect with the 360, but much more so, especially if the exhaust noise is loud (Tubi, Stradale etc) Downside? You can't really park the 360 in many places, where you could with the Griff. The width can be an issue in some places, and the ground clearance on the Stradale is a bit of a nightmare, not sure about the standard car.

Certainly there was a great sense of occasion driving both cars, but the power delivery is totally different - big lazy torque with the Griff, high rev screaming power with the 360.

Servicing will obviously be more pricey with the 360, but not massively so - I would have thought the Griff needed more regular servicing than the 360, but is so basic a competent enthusiast could do it themselves with the Griff - not with a 360

Thanks for the feedback - I plan to keep the Griff, because it's so "different" to drive. But I'm really quite smitten with the 360 - it looks and sounds great. Think I might take one out for a test drive.

Oh Tadley, Tadley - my home town. Well village. Well something. Spent 18 years visiting the Treacle Fair and generally marvelling at the shallow genepool of the area.

Anyway, maybe when the weather turns warm we could link-up and have a chat/drive. My company's based in Kingslere, so I'm always in that general neck of the woods.

Cheers Evo - I'll drop you an email in the next few weeks. Might bring the missus with me if that's okay?

If you want to bring the missus, might be better if I come over to you. Once you get in the car, you will probably disappear for an hour or so

Missus might be upset waiting in a car park!
