Have any of you guys any experiences of this?
I have a stock 04 C4S with sports exhaust which has been the ultimate car of my dreams, and she is a Babe. But I am wondering whether I could (should?) tweak a few more horses out by fitting a superchip or similar. My big worry is ruining an already sublime car in the pursuit of a bit more grunt and also invalidating the warranty. Also, can anyone recommend an independent Porsche Service garage down here in Somerset? Many Thanks

I wouldn't bother. Losing the warranty is not worth an extra 10-20 BHP which all you would gain anyway.

Better to put your dosh towards a switch to the 996 Turbo and get a sports exhaust fitted to it as the lack of noise the standard Turbo makes is its most disappointing feature.

Amen to that !!

The modest gains that you would get would not be worth jeopardising your warranty, and may well effect resale as a negative rather than a positive.

Save it for next upgrade.

I had my C4S chipped by DMS.
I noticed a very small increase in power, mid - top of the rev range, but not that much.
In my opinion save the £1k & get some advanced driving tuition, this will make you a safer faster driver than a few extra bhp will.
