Hi Guys

I'm after some soft slicks and wets for my Hillclimb car - can't afford new prices, so anything considered!

Ideally Avon crossply A27 or softer in the following sizes (or very close to):

7.2/20.0 - 13
8.2/22.0 - 13

Thanks!

Andrew

Try having a discrete word with one of the tyre trucks at one of the big single seater race meets, they have been known to provide 'used once' tyres in exchange for some beer tokens.

I've got a set of slicks on FF1600 wheels (from a Van Diemen, so should fit yours). Don't know about compound, but they were used by the car's previous owner for Monoposto racing so possibly quite hard. I'll have a look and get back to you.

The fronts are Yokohama Advan 160/515-13 - don't know much about slicks, but can't see anything on there about hardness.

The rears are much bigger and on wider wheels than standard, but they're at another garage which I won't be near until the weekend.

They are all at least 4 years old, but appear to have plenty of life left, although they may go off over time. E-mail me if you think they'd be any use to you.

Thanks for the response guys. I've already posted a wanted ad on the Racecar forum.

The Yoko's may be ok - need to be fairly soft though as i'm planning on doing hills & sprints this year and looking at Mono 1600 later.

Cheers
Andrew
