Went to speedway for the first time in my life !!!

Yeh, I'm a speedway fan but have only ever attended one meet, just watch on sky sports regularly. The GP meets are excellent, and the elite league is not far behind for entertainment. These guys are hard as nails and ride through the pain barrier week in and week out... total respect!
I'm thinking of popping up to Arena Essex some time soon, as it's only 20 miles up the road.
Stock car racing is good fun too...
I used to go to Arlington (Eastbourne) every Wednesday night when I lived down in Sussex. No other form of racing offers the spectator such a close up view of the action, you get filthy dirty and occasionally have to jump out the way of debris. One night, they were holding a world championship qualifying round and a stock car imbedded itself in the catch fencing (iron girders and high tension cable) quite literally about 3 feet away from me!!!!!
