Short circuit: 1:16

What car are you doing 1.16 around Donington in? that is very fast!
350bhp/1150kg slick shod 944 with 968 engine, fully sorted by 9M.
Must confess that I've only done 3 laps in the 1:16s, have to back off under the noise gantry, short shifting down the pit straight results in 1:18s

Yes I knew it would not be a standard Porsche I think I know your car I was on circuit with you at Oulton Park last year you were lapping with an Orange Mitsibushi Evo ???? and I tried to tag along! in my GT3.
sorry to sounds like a killjoy chaps, but we really shouldnt be discussing laptimes on these web forums.
It is endangering the insurance terms for trackday driving, and Ive heard that any evidence that timing is going on (and web forum chat is one of the most obvious apparently) will invalidate the policy of the trackday organiser.

I didn’t see any mention of trackdays. How do you know 944/68 wasn’t on a test day?
Because Im not the already reluctant company providing the insurance who really doesnt need to bother with trackday insurance anyway.
And even the whiff of breaking their terms might cause problems.
I see your point entirely, and I did hesistate before the post, but at the end of the day why risk something we love?
I never really understood how significant it was till recently.

WRT to lap timing do they now ban in car video ?
From a video (i.e. no timing) I did 1.26 round the national
(944 turbo, 300bhp, sticky tyres)
Put ya foot down a bit cuneus 2 weeks ago in a battered old mildly track fettled Mk2 Golf road car with 188bhp I did 1.30 on road tyres (on an approx 1-2 degree C day with morning snow fluries!)
With sticky rubber similar Golfs with less power but stripped & rock hard race suspension set up were in the 1.26s & a couple with tiny bit more power & LSDs but still a decent road set up were 1.28s times.
Test day not trackday- yadda yadda yadda
