Hi all,

Possibly going to stump up for a new Boxster. I want to keep the cost down but concerned about getting the right options. I'd like the sport package, short shift. Is there anything else that I NEED to get? Ideallu wanting to keep it below £35k.

Cheers

I have a 987 on order and I too wanted to keep the price to £35k.

Went for:

Metallic paint
Wind deflector
Climate Control
Partial Leather

These are apparently the bare min if you want to easily resell.

To bring me up to £35k I also added:

18" Boxster S wheels

After a couple of months wait I then decided to add:

PASM

This brings me to just over £36k.

Hope this helps and happy option choosing.

Thats a good spec..maybe just an uprated sound system and heated seats to add.
You'll get told PCM is needed, and I'll admit when selling my 911 that was the only option buyers asked about before pricing the car, but still you won't get all your money back on it and the car will sell without.
When you come to sell the options are dead money, dealers will only ever bid base book..so keep options down to minimum.

Dealers are the ones who only ever tell you, you need options. But face it they work in sales, and the more options they sell the bigger the sale, so they wont ever tell you, you dont need options.

Then they are all worthless when you come to p-ex it. So think carefully about what you want, and what you would want if you bought second hand.
