Hope this might help someone else who's scratching their head! I bought Roadangel about 8 months ago, which was great when it worked, but this was less than 50% of the time. The symptom was that it would drop the signal and o most occasions could not re acquire it. I have had 3 Roadangel units, 2 extension antennae, and numerous trips to the local Roadangel dealer who luckily is local and very helpful, especially as I did not buy the unit from him. (www.radar-detector-shop.co.uk)
I also have Navtrak ADR on my car (the one with a credit card sized validator you need to carry with you) I asked Navtrak at an early stage if interference was possible and was told not. Eventually we concluded that there must be a connection and disconnected the Navtrak for 5 days. Hey presto Roadangel works perfectly. I have now had the Navtrak antennae re positioned and everything works fine now. Neither Roadangel nor Navtrak believed that they had had this problem before.
Maybe someone else can benefit from my experience.

Classic Road Angel or new Road Angel ?

I bought a new Road Angel in December and have never had any problems acquiring the satellites in my 996TT.

New Roadangel. I think its the conjunction of Roadangel, Navtrak, and one of the antennae locations available to fit the Navtrak.

My RA2 works fine in my 996 TT...however refuses to pick up a signal in my wifes Zafira which is a pain as its the car we use when we go on holidays, long distance driving etc.
Something to do with Vauxhall's tinted windscreen blocking the signal they say.

Blackspot do a remote aerial that fits behind the rear view mirror for cars with heat reflective windscreen - worth a call?

feed from lighher socket (volts are regulated) then goes all the way around the dash & up round the side to the back.... and stays hidden in the air vents when not needed...

powers up when the iginition is turned on.... sites on the velcro pad that came with the kit

had a audio garage do the "volts" work

works better than I thought and avoid the dangling wires...

from the front..
