So with the confirmed date of December for the Xbox one release, anyone getting it?

Put lots of time in the PC version, think the console controls will take some getting used to!

I'm in and have been loving the Fortnite BR.

I know Battle Royales aren't new but it's great that they are emerging as a major genre.

Think it's only a matter of time before we get a AAA BR game, or maybe a battlefield/COD with a BR game type.

I'll be getting it. The battle royale mode on Fortnight is fking rubbish and completely misses what makes PUBG so good, so jumping into PUBG will be good. Hopefully there will be more maps and less bugs in the future.

Assuming I'm still in the UK (currently in talks about a role out in Saudi) I'll not only be getting it, but also getting an xbox as well - the X looks very appealing.

Will be getting it, Pretty sure it may only be available through Xbox Live as it's Early Access.

Ordered from CD Keys for £20 with their Facebook discount code.
I was going to wait until it was on the Xbox store, but as it's just a code anyway, there's little point

For those that don't use FB, whats the code and how much discount?

IIRC you have to like the Facebook page, so you will need Facebook.
Don't think the discount is that great,5% or so, but stand to be corrected.
Even without the discount, will be worth it.

Code changes every few minutes. You need to have Facebook, sign on and like their page and you get 5% discount code.

60FPS on the X, likely 30FPS on the other Xbox one consoles.

^^^ Looks like it is going to be 30 on both systems.

It is such a poorly coded/optimised game though. It requires so much more hardware then you'd expect to run it.

Yeah, it's only game preview but there's been a lot of mixed messages (like 60FPS and 30FPS, both from Brendan Greene, within about 24 hours) and very little in the way of gameplay vidoes of any sort.

Even so, the theory seems to be that it's easier to code/optimise for the three xbox ones (that have slightly different hardware to each other) than a pretty much infinite amount of different PC specs that you could come across. This is generally given as the reason why World of Tanks runs much smoother (or at least did) on consoles than PC.... but then you've got games that spent a long time in the preview programme and still run terribly (like Ark).

I guess we'll see in a week.

There's also some talk that game share might not work, or at least you'll have to share your character between the linked accounts.

I'm still having a blast on Fortnite and whilst its completely different in terms of end game strategy and gameplay, there's still some good habits to pick up from it in preparation (always being aware of what's around you, spotting movement, inventory management etc).

I assume that's as a result of two players shooting each other at the same time?
