So finally I took the plunge and bought one. It has full Honda main dealer history and 74,000miles.

Already:
Removed outrageous illegal side and rear window tint that made it very claustrophobic. The tints came off without any heat treatment.
Fit winter tyres

Plans:
Gearbox oil change (feels slightly notchy)
Fit private plate
Drive it to Scotland on B roads then European road trip.
Get rid of wet passenger footwell. Bought pollen filter as a first attempt fix (fitted).

More to follow. Any tips welcome.

Hah! I remember seeing that car when it was new. It's a local car to me and the last 2 letters are my initials!

Welcome to the CTR club!

Love it. I thought the ride might get me but I don't notice it. I've always dodged potholes in any car though. I love the seats! Ive also fitted a private plate.

Absolutely! Was always one of the biggest moans but i find it absolutely fine and actually quite comfortable on longer journeys.

The spoiler was also criticised but i really like it and it also blocks the headlight glare!

No, Wigan. Not sure if we have spoken? Grinspeed maintain a lot of Hondas. Really nice guy too.

Ah there's another PHer in Sale with a Forester. I had two Foresters, very fond memories of them. One of a kind IMO.

He's my go to guy too. Spent a few quid there over the years. Also Tensport Performance in Rawtenstall is new on the scene and very knowledgeable on Hondas - good chums with Stevie at Grinspeed too

It's great, it's alittle slow inbetween 1st/2nd but otherwise good.

I'm not interested in any mods. I'd consider Hondata but I already have an expensive ££ hobby so can't afford biggrin

Ride quality grating on you yet?

I am driving from Glasgow to Plymouth a week on Saturday and Plymouth back to Glasgow a few days later ... not sure how much I will love the car after that!

I have ordered a M2 stainless steel rear exhaust section to sort my rattling backbox too. First production run getting imported from Japan by TDI North, and modular so you can order the rear section only and fit it to the stock system, and replacing the front section at a later date. Single exit, so hopefully not too loud!

The ride quality is good. The bits I don't like is the A pillar blind spot and fan speed up and down is done by pushing buttons yet the two big dials infront of me are for something else. Fan speed should also be a dial IMO.

It's not used a drop of oil and is great otherwise biggrin
