hear the 2002 cars were problematic? any truth, is it fixable ?
no problems here Craig, 2002 Spyder, would like less scuttle shake but i guess you'd be after the Coupe anyway, CC is fine once all latest campaigns have been carried out, there were no differences in the mechanics of the CC's apparently between early and late cars, just software.
Covered 10k miles so far with no problems apart from an HT lead coming loose, just had major service from Dick lovett at a cost of £650 which was a pleasant surprise as they quoted £750 over the phone (dont get that every day)
Still on its original clutch after 20k miles which is quite good for a CC (£2k to replace not looking forward to that one)
Ownership wise, not bowled over by the car at 1st (mainly the CC) but now I'm used to it the car grows on me more each time I drive it, i can now say hand on heart I prefer it to my old TVR, just fitted straight throw pipes to the centre section which has just given it a little more of what it needed (noise).
Would buy another.........

It was a toss up for me whether to go for a '02 3200 or an '02 4200 (which was the all I could afford)
Went for the 4200 as it had so many improvements (technically) over the 3200 and I fell in love with the cambiocorsa change (being lazy)
No problems so far except for an oil leak (fixed under warranty) As mentioned above if 02 4200's have been main dealer serviced/upgrades any problems should have been sorted long ago.
