Yvan Muller's at the Chicane in todays 2nd BTCC race after being tapped by Plato's Seat.

If you haven't seen it try to catch the races on ITV (whenever they might show them).

Actually it was a great day's racing at Thruxton - I spectated from a spot I hadn't tried before up near Cobb/Segrave - really good - if overcrowded. What BTCC race isn't, though?

I've got a really great pic of Smith's spin...

I must admit, I don't like the guy, but it was very impressive driving!

Brilliant driving.

He is one of the top five touring car drivers. Is he as good as Menu, Tarquini, Jorg Muller or Paffett though?

His overtaking manoeuvre a few years back at Brands - round the outside at Paddock Hill bend was something truely awesome !!

Only managed to see this last night on an ITV re-run - fantastic save, but I tend to agree with Plato that it was his own fault and Muller drove into him.

I see general BTCC driving standards are still a panel beater's delight - Tom Chilton's move in race 3 was at best hopeful.

I'd much rather watch this kind of racing with 11 cars than 20 odd F1 cars - These 3 races had as much place swapping as a bike race and that can only be a good thing.

I agree that it's a fantastic show. But all the "agressive" manovers are surly putting off people from entering because of the costs.

I do like seeing the ITR's kick everybody else into touch....including the works Honda entry's
