Rising bollards (residential)
Discussion
We're thinking of installing some rising bollards on our drive when we get it re-done. Two bollards, remote control and linked.
Anyone have these fitted or could recommend a supplier? Cambridge area if that makes a difference but interested in opinions from anyone who has them anyway.
Cheers

My mate fits them (along with other access systems) for commercial properties.
He was called out for a problem and not told what it was.
He parked in front of the offices and went inside to ask what the problem was
The receptionist pointed out the window
He saw his van raised in the air by the bollards
They are very expensive and don't really work as well as a gate for residential purposes IMO

This mate works for a bollard installation company and parked OVER a lowered bollard? Does he also make a habit of attending call outs without asking why he’s going and therefore what tools/kit/parts might be needed? He was called out for a problem and not told what it was.

No he works for an access companyAbsolute horse crap.
Yes he gets sent from the Cotswolds to Newcastle - customers rarely diagnose problems - that's why they send out engineers
Yes I made it all up just to annoy you

Absolute horse crap.
Plus, these things are usually installed at an entrance so he would have prevented other people getting access.
Mind you, they are out there.

Thanks to those who contributed so far - they're relatively uncommon and I am worried about their reliability, hence asking for any recommendations.
As to why - to avoid turning this into a debate about rights and wrongs I'm just going to reason that it's my prerogative.
Gates won't work - they contravene the property covenant and won't look right anyway; a manual/folding bollard just won't be used (I'm being realistic here, it would work practically but we just wouldn't bother - hence wanting remote control ones)
And for those turning this into a slapfest can you just leave it be, please? It's too hot, go outside, have a drink and chill for a bit. Thanks

I’ve got a telescopic bollard in the drive. Pretty good deterrent if you ask me and was only ~£450 fitted
These are the bollards you need Op
Just make sure you don't get tailgated entering the drive
