New 3 series images leaked this evening. Quite fussy at the front but the back is kinda cool and different. Will be interesting to see it in the metal.

Thoughts?

The haters will be along shortly to tell you that it’s a chavs car/boring/expensive/unreliable/financed and that their 15 year old remapped Saab is better in almost every measurable way.

Not sure about the front bumper.

The rest looks nice.

Its automatically recognisable as a 3 series. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing.

Not sure about the instrument panel. The Nav screen looks better integrated, style-wise, but ergonomically looks too low down.

That surely must be 'peak-fuzzyness'? Someone please resurrect SAAB or at least give Alfa their balls back :-/.

What a radical departure from the current car. You can hardly tell it's the same model such is the difference.

Without checking pics, that front end reminds me of the god awful new Civic Type R.

What a massive step sideways.

It’s pretty much what you expect kind of the same but a little different just enough to make it feel new but not enough to put current owners off buying another.

Is this a totally new generation with new chassis etc?

That front bumper is horribly over styled.
Not sure about the move away from the round dials either. Looks a bit too try hard for me.
And i’m not biased against BMW by the way, i’ve had an e28, e30, e36 and an e90 over the years.

I don’t like the interior, for me the new 5 and 7 have got it right. I was really surprised when I saw the interior of the new 8 and didn’t like that or this.

The outside does look a bit fussy. Not sure my money would go on one, but if someone wants to give me one for free I wouldn’t say no.

It looks fking hideous. Fussy, overstyled yet dull as fk. Looks cheaply made too. No doubt the PCP plebs will lap it up.

I did not notice the dials. I am not sure they will make it to production, whatever the rest is, those dials are NOT BMW’s style.

They seem to be the only people in the world who have seen a jaguar xe interior and said, yes that looks good. Let’s borrow a bit of that.

Has a whiff of Bangle seven from the side. Front bumper is a bit fussy but overall I think it’s a handsome thing. Sure it will sell by the boatload.

I’m sure it’ll sell millions and be an excellent all rounder

Meh. Other than looking a bit more fussy, I don't think it looks much different from the current 3 series. BMW have lost their way with the 3. Years back they stood out, now they're just dull and blend in. Good cars to drive with the better engines, but nothing special to look at.
