Can someone please tell me what the difference is between a Cat C and Cat D insurance write off vehicle.

And is a Cat C ferrari worth buying?

# Category C - Repairable. Possibly structural damage. Cost of damage (at dealer prices and labour rates) is more than book value of vehicle.

# Category D - Repairable. Probably non-structural damage. May have been economic to repair, but insurer doesn't want to.

Don't touch it, it would have to be more than 20% cheaper to justify. Murder to resell

Not thinking of that lhd 360 on ebay are you? Aren't RHD 360s now sub £60k...which makes lhd ones worth as much as £10k less?....I think that the car on ebay has to be as much as £10k less than it is priced at to be worth repairing and even then it's for driving into the ground

The car off ebay has a "salvage title" in the US. This probably won't amount to a CAT title in this country, but a VIN check in the US would amount the same to a CAT C

Can't help but think some unsuspecting buyer will end up buying this car in it's finished "1 careful owner" state

Actually...it's a 355 spider that I was offered recently. I'll give it a pass.

In fact, I'll probably forget about getting a Spyder of any kind. I'd be extremely paranoid about driving it around East london.
