I have owned four Series Land Rovers. Two were dogs, one was OK, and this latest one is really quite good. It has the petrol engine, and a Fairey Overdrive. Also a safari roof and soundproofing.

Hell, it even has a (rubbish) radio and a heater that works.

That looks great. I love old Series LR’s and cycle around Wiltshire hoping to find one stuck in a hedge!

A heater is a treat in one of those and a radio is pure luxury

Love it, I thought it was being shipped out to "the" Islands though?

I am still havering over that. It may stay in Oxfordshire where it is happy.

That does look lovely. How does the safari roof work? Is it double skinned to reduce heat absorption or does it ventilate at the front? Presumably not the latter or rain would come in?

Probably more reliable than anything they produce today

Double skinned, and with opening vents. It works very well, as do the two large flaps in the scuttle below the screen.
