Too much boost pressure?!?!?

On my '90 SE Chargecooled, recently I experiance a beautiful overboost. I mean the needle (of the gauge) almost jumps out on the right side, (more then 1 bar). It also comes below 5000 rpm. (Previously it worked normally ~.6 normal conditions, up to .8-.9 above 5000.) It's nice as the car goes like hell, on the other hand I am affraid the engine won't last long. No error codes from ECM, no other issues with the car. I tried to follow up all mailings and I haven't seen yet any similar issue. Anybody out there seen something like this?

Check the hose to the wastegate capsule for leaks.
Perform a pressure test on capsule and the movement of the wastegate actuator.
Check the condition and the right type of spark plug. they should be NGK of the ERK variety.
