Great idea … It'd be nice to see some shots of watches being worn smilethumbup

As it's the first of the new year … Something from the "decent watch box"

Must have missed the 2018 thread, so I'll try to put one a month in here.

A rather faded (more than I remembered) 16710 to start the year off: -

With it being the festive season, I need a watch that reminds me of what day of the week it is.

Although not on the wrist, this modded Steinhart OVM has been my regular daily (thanks Joe) to the extent that my Sub has been resigned to sitting at the back of the cupboard. Accuracy is much better than the Sub as well.
I never really gelled with the grey dial of the original, and this dial/hand combo were advertised as being for the ETA 2824.

I started off the new year wearing my Yachtmaster which I acquired a few weeks ago and it has just returned from a service/polish. I am now wearing nothing as the tears streaming down my face would make a watch an impossible to read option. The bracelet came apart and the watch dropped off and I was so cold (out with the dogs) I didn't flaming notice until back to the car.

Edit, not as bad as it sounds, we searched and found the watch and we also found the miniscule threaded pin that had come out. I am utterly amazed at finding the watch and totally 'gobsmacked' that we found the screw as well. Just got to find a screw driver small enough to fit and all will be good once more.

That is a Happy New Year!
