I'm about to buy some fire proof underwear, but can anyone tell me if it's worth spending the extra money on either the mustard coloured Carmyth or the black CarbonX stuff. Nearly everyone still seems to go for regular Nomex.

Just plain Nomex. If the fire's got that far that it's troubling your pants then it's all much of a muchness really.

I went for the long jong style nomx by OMP, was about £75 for top and bottoms. Seems good to me

..unless you've had a tangy Jalfrezi, and the protection if for in>out, rather than out>in.
