Good news for those who are waiting for this film - the UK release date is now advertised as 28th June so only about 7 weeks to go.
Thought you might like to know.
Fantastic, thanks for letting us know. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone with an interest in this to make the effort to see it on the big screen. I am still blown away several weeks after seeing it on an IMAX screen.Thought you might like to know.
Did the usual search fail, I’m sure there is already a thread but.
Booked tickets today for https://www.apollo11movie.co.uk/?campaign=google
Really looking forward to this!
Anyone else booked?

I'd say a thread on here was merited, not in the little trafficked, cliquey backwater that is the science forum, especially as it's a film.Astonishing film. See it on the biggest IMAX possible!
Reading threads on there is like having your head turned to mush, as each poster tries to outpedant or somehow demonstrate their knowledge over the previous person "oh but I'll think you'll find that the engine was hypergolic and therefore...." etc

My seven year old and I cannot wait to see this. Feels like an age since we first saw the trailer.
I've watched it three times now and will do so again this week as I want my dad to see it. I have a 65" TV so it is pretty good on that, but not as amazing as on IMAX of course. Let us know what you thought of it.

Saw it a month ago and it was great. Despite the claims, much of the footage has been shown before - but never in such good quality. And the sound quality is amazing.
Highly recommended.
The picture quality is the kicker - it looks like it was filmed yesterday. Highly recommended.
Good thing someone had the foresight to film such momentous footage in 70mm.
Thought it was fantastic. The combination of footage that I’ve not seen before, just enough of an audio/music track for suspense and Saturn V taking off with the Dolby Atmos effects we had in our cinema it was brilliant.
What I did enjoy was the scene of rows and rows of technicians as the camera rolled back through the command centre. Many people with the names of their employer on the back of their lab coats. I will always struggle to understand the maths to do this mission.
I watched it with my 10 year old daughter and she was on the edge of her seat for much of it. Whispering questions about fuel, distance, pressures, gases, reentry angles and things that I had no idea to answer. So her task today is to fine out her own answers and inform me.

Went to our new local IMAX to see this last night. Dragged the missus with me too.
I thought it was brilliant, amazing, awe-inspiring and was totally blown away by the launch. The fearlessness of the astronaughts to get into that thing in the first place was impressive. Wife for the record was initially not interested but after she also thought it was awesome to watch.
